We are looking for flexible entry level and experienced
household staff to be join our team.
This role is a great way to learn how a hospital works and get a foot in
the door to a world of opportunities.
You will be part of the team that contributes to the
hospital running smoothly, whatever the time of day or day of the year. You will make our hospital a place where
people can get better safely, families can visit in comfort, and staff can do
great work in a hygienic and safe environment.
The roles involve thorough cleaning throughout the wards,
operating theatres, public areas and offices, as well as changing beds, and laundry
and rubbish collection. You may also do
the tea rounds, have contact with patients and support the nursing and orderly
staff.
Available Positions
Permanent (0.4FTE)* working 32 hours a fortnight.
**Shift**: Sunday to Wednesday 4.00PM to 8.00PM
Permanent (0.3FTE)* working 24 hours a fortnight.
**Shift**: Thursday to Saturday. 4.00PMto 8.00PM
Permanent (1.0FTE) position working 80 hours a fortnight.
**Shift**: Monday to Friday 10.30AM to 7.00PM.

If the shifts above don't suit you, but you'd still like to work as a housekeeper, please contact Tania (our Household Supervisor) as we'd still like to hear from you, and a suitable shift may arise in the near/medium future.
In addition to hourly rates, we pay penal rates for evening (after 8.00pm) and weekend work, Kiwisaver and additional payments/time off if you are rostered to work on a public holiday. You will also be supported to get your qualification in Cleaning (NZQA Level 2 & 3).
- FTE stands for Full-Time Equivalent. E.G. 0.5FTE equals half of a full-time position.

These positions would suit people with experience in cleaning/customer service OR people with no experience, but a passion
for being part of one of New Zealand - s fastest growing sectors and seeing how a
hospital ticks. To be successful in this
role you must be reliable, have a positive attitude and consistently deliver a
high-quality, customer-focused service. Full training will be provided.
Whilst it is no longer mandatory, for the health and safety of staff and patients,
employees in this role are expected to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
(primary course plus booster).
