**We are looking for three Thai Chefs to join our team.**
**Requirements**:
- At least 3 years of the related work experience
- At least NZ Register Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification)
- Knowledge of Thai food ingredients
- Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques
- Ensure that all dishes are cooked well and presented in a pleasing way
- Oversee food preparation, checking that all kitchen staff are performing their duties
- Monitor equipment quality and order new equipment as needed
- Help the restaurant determine how much food and supplies need to be ordered
- Plan new menu to bring in new dishes when required
- Estimating food and labour costs
- Ensure that all materials and ingredients are fresh and up to the restaurants standard
- Ensure that the quality of all dishes meets the restaurants standard
- Preparing and cooking food according to the menu
- Portioning food and placing it on plates
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Preparing food to meet special dietary as required
- Demonstrating cooking technic that suits Thai food and advising on cooking procedures
- Must know all kinds of Thai ingredients and vegetable
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- May train new kitchen staff
**Other detail**
- This is a full-time and permanent position
- Wage payment is $29.66 per hour, and you will be paid weekly
- Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
- You will be working at 73 Victoria Street, Christchurch 8013
- We are open from Monday to Friday: Lunch 11.30 pm - 2.30 pm, Monday to Sunday: Dinner 5.00 pm 9.30 pm.
- You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week for 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours).
Please note that applicants for this position should have NZ citizenship/residency or a valid NZ work visa.
