As a Medical Laboratory Scientist - Microbiology, you will provide a high quality, innovative diagnostic laboratory service that meets the needs of our patients, consumers, and whānau.

**About Us**

Health New Zealand Waitematā provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney areas. It has the largest population of any district health area.

**About you**

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- A current annual practising certificate and registration with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council, or eligibility to register with the Council.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A demonstrated flexible approach to shift work.
- 2-5 years of experience in a hospital-based microbiology setting.
- Experience, knowledge, or qualification in biochemistry.
- Experience, knowledge, or qualification in molecular testing.
