Site Supervisor

Seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for an exciting project based in South Auckland

**Your new role**

As a valued member of our construction team, your responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the site logistic plan, which encompasses site amenities, housing, traffic management for entry and exit, cranage, hoisting, security, and waste management.
- Completing assigned tasks and duties as outlined in the role and responsibilities matrix provided by the Site Manager.
- Ensuring the efficient and successful execution of construction projects delegated to you, adhering the companies’ policies and procedures, and following the guidance of the Project Manager. This includes:

- Ensuring subcontractors complete their work according to the scope of work and timeline provided by the Project

Manager.
- Reviewing and obtaining SWMS from subcontractors before they start work on site.
- Conducting regular inspections of subcontractor work to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and

quality assurance check sheets.
- Coordinating the storage of goods and materials for the company and subcontractors.
- Gaining a thorough understanding of all drawings and specifications, including shop drawings from specialist trade

contractors/suppliers, related to the assigned work or element.
- Collaborating with the Project Coordinator to implement and monitor the QA plan throughout the project.
- Assisting in overall project management by reviewing construction methods, monitoring site performance, and coordinating trade contractors to align with planned activities and schedules.
- Providing input for the look ahead programme, including procurement schedules, and effectively communicating with the project team and subcontractors.
- Ensuring compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act, AHS Regulations, EPA Act, and all applicable Codes of Practice.
- Encouraging job safety and environmental awareness amongst employees, subcontractors, and individuals in the work area, and ensuring the use of safe and environmentally friendly practices.
- Maintaining records of additional work causes, daily events, progress works, and subcontractor requests for information/clarifications.

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

- More than 5 years’ experience in the NZ construction industry
- A background in the trade industry.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively represent the company brand and its vision to clients and staff.
- The ability to remain focused and perform well individually and as part of a team, even in challenging and demanding situations.
- Willingness and capability to continually enhance knowledge of WHS, industrial relations, QA, and environmental matters within the industry.
- Genuine passion for the organizational values of safety and care, honesty and integrity, customer focus, teamwork, and performance excellence.
