We are a small children's art school operating in Central Auckland for the last 15 years, providing after-school art classes and holiday programmes in various schools and community centres.

We are looking for a part-time art teacher to run after-school art classes for children aged 5-10 years old.

**As an art teacher, you will be responsible for**:

- Running art classes for up to 15 children.
- Presenting demonstrations to help the class understand what they will be doing.
- Supporting students with developing their technical artistic skills (e.g., drawing, painting, proportions, depth, mixing colours).
- Encouraging students to grow their imagination and creativity through making every artwork their own.

**As an art teacher, you will have the following skills**:

- ** Teaching and education**:

- you can support students of varying experience levels to improve their skills and produce quality artworks.
- **Communication** - you are a confident communicator who brings patience, kindness, and fun to the classroom. You will be able to explain concepts and ideas to students and tailor explanations to the child's individual needs.
- **Flexibility and time-management** - you can support multiple students in a busy classroom environment and ensure that all tasks are completed.
