Courier Driver

**Courier Driver - Gurman Transport Limited (Contracted to New Zealand Courier Deliveries)**
**Location**: Canterbury
**Pay Range**: $25 - $32 per hour
**Minimum Hours**: 30 hours per week guaranteed
**Employment Type**: Full-time (Monday to Saturday, 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sorting and sequencing items for delivery
- Delivering mail, parcels, documents, and other items to customer premises and mailboxes
- Receiving delivery instructions from customers
- Collecting signatures and payments for cash-on-delivery items
- Issuing and collecting receipts for pick-up and delivery transactions
- Keeping accurate records of all items received and delivered
- Maintaining delivery documentation, including walk books, equipment logs, and mail counts
- Loading and unloading mail and internal handling equipment
- Assisting with inward mail, misaddressed, undelivered, and redirected items, and processing freepost or underpaid mail

**Requirements**:

- Full and clean New Zealand driver licence
- Minimum of 6 months’ relevant work experience **or** a New Zealand Register Level 1 qualification (or equivalent)
- Physically fit with the ability to lift and carry items during extended delivery routes
- Strong record-keeping and communication skills
- Customer-focused attitude
- Be physically fit as this is an active job that will require heavy lifting upto 25kg and constantly being on the go

We offer a supportive work environment with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
