In this role, you'll be part of an agile team who are developing and maintaining the Amazon connect solution we are about to migrate over to this team is focusing on the Call flow, phone banking, IVR and so much more

**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**

We sat down with one of our Tīma (Team) Leader's (who you'd report to), and they let us know the following about the role:
**What are 5 day-today tasks the person will complete?**
- Working with developers to create appropriate automated checks using existing tools
- Working with their agile tīma to develop a common understanding of the business requirements, and understanding underlying business intent, business procedures and systems.
- Clearly communicating defects to the business and their agile tīma.
- Contributing to a shared focus on user experience.
- Participating in agile ceremonies including stand up, retrospective, planning and demonstration. Undertaking non-testing related activities to assist the tīma to deliver on its commitments.
- Actively leading testing principles and practices with their agile tīma and wider BNZ Digital & Applications. Keeping up to date and sharing new developments and changes to testing and agile practices, along with new technologies used in delivering solutions to users

**What is the tīma culture and environment like?**

The tīma is open and friendly, they learn from each other and collaborate. They like to socialise and bring their whole selves to mahi.

You will have the opportunity to support and build out the Automation testing strategy and frameworks for customer and voice side of the call centre technologies this includes but not limited to phone banking, call routing, contact flows, call back functionality - as well as other user requirements. We have a lot to automate

**What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?**

Working with new tech - AWS and Connect and we are blazing a trail for bank and in many cases New Zealand.

**What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?**

We are working in a very new technology, Amazon Connect and as mentioned above, often we are blazing a trail for the bank and at times New Zealand. But it is also a great way to innovate and set the standard for other tīmas in the future.
- Be able to lead the automation test conversation and innovate where functional testing has been the requirement
- Ability to design, develop, test strategies and see them through
- A strong expertise in Problem solving, Analytical Thinking
- AWS experience and call centre technologies would be preferable

**What tech skills are required for this role?**
- 5 years of experience with creating and maintaining automation frameworks
- Hands on experience in creating automation test cases using
- Back-end: Java, Cucumber
- Front-end: Javascript/Typescript, Cypress (we are exploring Playwright as well)
- Exposure to reading code and ability debug code for white box testing
- Manual/Automated API testing - API, Postman
- Manual functional testing and exploratory testing
- Experience with source code management systems - Ex:GIT
- Experience with AWS: Lambdas, Amazon Java SDK, Amazon Connect, DynamoDb, Sqs, S3, Cloudwatch
