Te Manu Ora provides public health services to people living in Canterbury, South Canterbury and West Coast regions. We aim to improve the health of our communities and reduce inequalities in health status.
We are seeking someone that is passionate about health and its role in the community, can work cooperatively and constructively in a team environment and has excellent communication and relationship building skills
As part of our WAVE (Well-being and Vitality in Education) team working in our Community and Public Health Timaru office, as a Health Promoter you - ll work in partnership with education and community agencies to promote healthy nutrition and healthy lifestyles.

As a strong team player you - ll enjoy a collaborative work style and will be the face of health in the community. You will have a passion for healthy living and demonstrate proven leadership skills in bringing stakeholders together, with a focus on improving the wellbeing of the community.

- A commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and to working in a bi-cultural manner
- Experience and skills in health promotion
- Skills and participation in community based projects
- Project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
