Position - Retail Manager

Location - Hell Pizza Hastings, New Zealand

Verma Food Options Limited operates Hell Pizza Hastings, part of the iconic Hell Pizza brand known for its bold flavours, creative menu, and unique customer experience. We are looking for energetic and motivated Retail Manager to lead our team and uphold the high standards that make Hell Pizza a favourite across New Zealand.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Store Operations Management

Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient running of the store.

Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and compliance with health regulations.

2. Staff Supervision and Training

Recruit, train, and supervise store staff including kitchen and delivery team.

Schedule shifts and manage performance, ensuring excellent customer service.

3. Customer Service

Handle customer feedback, complaints, and queries professionally.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing a fast and friendly service.

4. Inventory and Stock Control

Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships.

Maintain accurate records of inventory, daily transactions, and financial reporting using internal systems and POS software.

Minimize food waste and ensure availability of key ingredients at all times.

5. Sales and Profitability

Drive sales through local marketing, promotions, and upselling strategies.

Promoting ad advertising the restaurant’s goods and services through local marketing, social media, and in-store promotions.

Monitor store performance and work towards achieving sales and profit targets.

6. Compliance and Health & Safety

Ensure adherence to company policies, employment laws, and health & safety standards.

Conduct regular checks and implement corrective actions as required.

Ensure the store premises are clean, well-maintained, and meet brand presentation standards at all times.

7. Reporting and Administration

Maintain accurate records of sales, costs, rosters, and staff hours.

Prepare reports for upper management and attend regular performance reviews.

8. Team Culture and Leadership

Promote a positive work environment and foster team morale.

Controlling selection, training to the new staff and supervision of staff.

Lead by example and ensure Hell Pizza's brand values are upheld.

**Requirements**:
Either 3 years of work experience or Level 4 qualification is required.

Experience in handling customer service, complaints, and team performance.

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Able to work under pressure and managing multiple tasks.

Knowledge of inventory systems, point-of-sale systems, and basic financial reporting.

Must be reliable, punctual, and dedicated to delivering high service standards.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Shift work

Work Location: In person
