**Machine Operator**

**Hours: Monday - Friday. Day Shift - 6am start**

**Frankton, Hamilton, New Zealand**

OJI Fibre Solutions is one of New Zealand's leading manufacturers and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our customers include blue chip manufacturers and marketers of packaging products to the food, primary produce, industrial and grocery sectors. The business supplies short run and specialty packaging to customers locally, nationally and internationally.

- Mechanically minded.
- Able to understand complex SOPs and set up instructions.
- Experience with doing complex changeovers and set ups with vertical ramp up.
- Experience with Flexographic printing or similar would be a distinct advantage.
- Hardworking and enjoy working within a team.
- Have an uncompromising commitment to Health & Safety
- Customer and quality focused, with a good eye for detail
- Reliable with your own transport
- Physically fit & can keep up with a busy production environment.
- Must have experience within a food safe packaging or GMP environment.

We offer:

- Hourly rate: $24.00 per hour - $29.66 per hour
- Service Allowance payable once you met the continuous employment criteria.
- Staff benefits: Superannuation (company contribution of 5% if you are eligible), Life Insurance, Disability Income Protection Insurance, Free basic medical cover.
- Free onsite parking
- Full PPE provided & on-going training.

The role:

- Permanent role working 40 hours minimum per week.
- Setup, control, and drive performance of the production machine line KPIs.
- Consistently monitor, adjust, and regulate operation to maintain specification and quality of output.
- To optimise equipment performance by maintaining a clean workspace and area, effect accurate setups, and perform minor repairs as required.
- Identify and promptly report any unsafe behaviour, hazards, and events.
