**Te āheinga: The opportunity**
Exam supervision is a position of responsibility. You will need to be trustworthy, vigilant and have integrity to meet the examination regulations. Your ability to work as a team player is vital to this role. The regulations ensure all learners sit exams under equal conditions. The purpose of exam supervision is to ensure that exams across the institute run smoothly.
Exam Supervisors oversee the security and integrity of the examination before, during and after the examination. You will oversee invigilators of the exams and help to ensure they are competent and confident to carry out their duties.
This is a casual role, and you would therefore join Unitec's pool of casual staff for exam supervisors.

You'll have:
- An understanding or desire to learn te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori
- Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
- Ability to work autonomously while valuing a supportive, close-knit team environment
- Excellent workflow management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot calmly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
- Ability to ensure compliance with exam regulations and processes tactfully
- Good time management skills
- Ability to liaise with and supervise invigilators for a seamless exam experience
- Strong team player skills, working with supervisors, invigilators, and academic staff
- Effective communication skills
- Physically fit, able to move around campus, including walking up and down stairs and lifting small boxes of exam papers
- Accurate record-keeping skills, including quick and accurate counting
- Ability to support other administrative tasks as required
Desirable:
- Previous experience working as an exam supervisor or an invigilator
