We are the Cummins Engine Dealer for Marlborough, Otago and Southland, we are a SouthPac Trucks Ltd Dealer, supporting the premier brands of DAF, Kenworth and TRP products in Marlborough, Canterbury, Central Otago and Southland. Our Cromwell workshop is also the authorised Isuzu dealer in central Otago. Our workshops are modern, with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, including the latest diagnostic tools. Our parts department provide diverse products and high stock turn over, leading the industry. We support the road transport industry, are growing rapidly, and we are part of the Dynes Transport and HW Richardson Group.
About this role
In this role, your focus will be to provide a complete solution for the delivery of maintenance of service work to vehicles, ensuring the customer experience is positive and maximised. You will become the main point of contact for the customer, providing relevant, accurate, and timely information through each stage of the service process, ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded. This is a front-line Service Advisor's role where it is pivotal to recognise incremental opportunities and maximise service department revenue.

The Role
- The role of the Service Advisor involves booking in vehicles, discussing repair work carried out, and following up service bookings along with a range of other duties.
- Supporting a team of technicians alongside other support personnel this front-line role provides a direct interface between service customers and the workshop.
- You would be working closely with the Service Manager planning workloads, processing warranties, advising the logistics of booking, and advising clients on incoming and completed service work.
- The role also involves identifying existing mechanical issues and explaining to the client why these repairs require attention.
- Assist Service Manager with end of month tasks and daily job card processing, job story write ups, organising outwork.

- Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
- Confident, open, and effective communication skills that are transferable across all levels of business, including our technical team, customers.
- High level of computer literacy.
- The ability to perform under pressure and to prioritise and multitask in a time-driven environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving, logistics and/or service experience.
- Knowledge of the automotive or heavy transport industry or other automotive industry would be desirable and will prove beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, for invoicing and administration duties.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and CRM systems.
- Eligible to work in New Zealand (and in New Zealand currently).
