Counties Manukau District is seeking a Vision and Hearing Technician to work with children between the ages of 4 - 11 years in our community. We will provide you with the Technical Training for this role.

You will need excellent communication skills and a grasp of Te Reo or a Pasifika language would be an advantage. If you are patient and enjoy working with tamariki, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

A sense of maturity is required, as is the ability to relate easily with children in a group or on an individual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the testing of vision, hearing and tympanometry of children.

This role will be based in our Kidz First Community Health Office in Clendon, however you will be required to visit the different sites and homes where the children are located. You need to have a current, clean, full driver's licence in this role.

The hours of work are 8am - 4.30pm (predominantly), Monday - Saturday excluding Public Holidays.

**Essential**:

- Current NZ clean full driver's licence
- Community experience (this can include voluntary work)
- Computer skills (intermediate level)

**Desired**:

- Experience working in an early childhood or school environment
