Wood Machinist

We have **two** full-time permanent **wood machinist** positions available to tradespeople. Duties will include carrying out operational and maintenance activities at our timber processing facility in **Manurewa, Auckland**. **We are offering you the following**: - A competitive hourly rate from $29.66 to $32.00. - Full-time employment with shifts.Weekly hours will range from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 50. **Main Duties of Wood Machinist**: - Reviewing Specifications: Analysing drawings and work orders. - Machine Setup: Preparing machines and materials for accurate cutting, shaping, and sanding. - Operating Machinery: Cutting, planing, turning, and sanding wood to precise standards. - Assembly and Framing: Fitting frame pieces and mounting materials for framing. **Requirements for the Wood Machinist**: - 2 years industrial and manufacturing machining experience in metal/aluminium/wood, or a level 4 trades qualification - Ability to work day shift, afternoon shift or flexible hours as per operational requirements. - Must be able to strictly follow all safety procedures. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. **If you think this job is right for you, please click "APPLY" now and submit your CV with a cover letter.** **We may ask you to provide a reference check as well as confirming you do not have a criminal record in the past.
