**About the Role**
We're looking for a proactive and experienced Strategic Advisor to join our Strategy & Policy team at Hutt City Council. In this high-impact role, you'll lead cross-organisational initiatives that align with Council's strategic direction and deliver real outcomes for our community.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Policy, this pivotal role transforms strategy into results — supporting teams across Council to plan, deliver and evaluate strategic projects like the new City Strategy, which will guide future investment in the city.

- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
- Experience delivering projects within defined timeframes and budgets
- Ability to influence and collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders
- Knowledge of the policy development process
- Working knowledge of local government and relevant legislation
- A tertiary qualification in strategy, public policy, planning, business or a related field
