Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting an experienced Technical Specialist. This role provides leadership in systems integration into the production environment, planning and developing conceptual and detailed designs for technical solutions that fit within the University’s current architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Successful technology integration into the Production infrastructure.
- Develop and define the University technology lifecycle.
- Providing project technical leadership.
- Providing 3rd level technical support.
- Support to University users, staff and students.

You will:

- Be a highly organised self-starter and natural relationship builder, displaying excellent organisational skills to provide excellent functional and effective solutions together with timely technical advice and support.
- Need effective time management and forward planning to balance meeting deadlines and maintain a high standard of service to both students and staff.
- Have the ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Keep yourself up to date with emerging technology and functionality assessing how best to integrate into existing infrastructure, systems and processes.

Key Requirements include advanced skills working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 and experience with the following:

- Agile principles, project management and working within projects.
- Implementing and managing Microsoft 365.
- Implementing and supporting systems using Microsoft Windows Server and the common Windows Server roles.
- Working across several projects simultaneously.
- Dev Ops practices.
- PowerShell scripting.
- Establishing policies, procedures and creating appropriate documentation.
