- time permanent Assistant Accountant position has become available in our busy but fun Revenue Reporting and Analysis Team. It is a busy and complex role where your logical and organised approach will be key; it includes assisting in maintaining internal process verification and improvements, reviewing transactions, and providing high level support to financial systems' users. We are looking for a hardworking, proactive problem solver who enjoys working effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines and manage workloads. Working closely with our Team Leader Revenue Reporting and Analysis, you will have the opportunity to display and further develop your accounting skills. You will perform a wide range of financial activities in order to maintain the integrity of the revenue financial ledgers and reporting. Ko koe tēnei | About you To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A relevant tertiary qualification (Finance / Business / Accounting) or working towards its completion.
- Working knowledge of accounting systems and processes, including general ledger management and reconciliations.
- Experience working with high volumes of transactions, including data manipulation.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and time management
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP is desirable, however not essential.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
