**Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper**

**The Firm**:
This is an excellent opportunity for a bookkeeper or assistant accountant who wants to join a firm where they will be supported to develop their career. You’ll join a team of experienced and commercially rounded people who genuinely care about creating better outcomes for their clients. The directors are very supportive and provide extensive training and development opportunities, including in-house training, external events, and on-the-job mentoring

**The Role**:
You will provide effective and efficient bookkeeping services to the firm’s clients, including payroll services, AR and debtor’s collection, AP, and Xero processing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Xero processing, including daily bank reconciliations and coding
- Prepare, file, and arrange payment of IRD taxes, PAYE, GST, FBT returns
- Prepare Cashflow forecasting and monitoring
- Prepare and arrange payment of Client’s Payrolls
- Prepare management accounts for clients

**About You**:

- 3+ years experience as a bookkeeper in a Professional Services Firm.
- Experience using Xero and familiar with add-ons like HubDoc and ApprovalMax
- Have experience in AP, AR, credit control and payroll
- Have a strong understanding of NZ Tax requirements
- Be a team player
- Have strong written & verbal communication skills
