**Contract**: Permanent part time, (0.4 FTE), Rostered Rotating - AM 07:00-15:30, 11:00-1930, PM 13:00-21:30, excludes nights

**Salary**: $51,770 - $61,540
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
As a health care assistant in 6 South you will provide assistance to the health care team, by focusing on the patient - s comfort and performing delegated patient care duties, including completing personal cares and service activities as required. Service activities can include, but are not limited to assisting in minor surgical tasks and safety checks.
If you are currently completing a Bachelor of Nursing this would be a great opportunity to become part of the team, and potentially be hired as a New Graduate Registered Nurse (though this is not essential).

Ward 6 South is a busy cardiac unit that provides tertiary cardiac services for the central NZ region. The team cares for patients across both cardiology and cardiothoracic specialties. You will be supported by a committed and focused nursing management team incorporating a Charge Nurse Manager, Associate Charge Nurse Managers, and Clinical Nurse Educators.

**A.Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Good oral and written English and interpersonal communication skills;
- Basic keyboard skills ideal but not essential;
- Effective time management skills.B.Essential Professional Qualifications / Accreditations / Registrations:

- Level 3 NZQA National Certificate in Community Support Services (or equivalent qualification).OR
