**The Opportunity**

It’s an exciting time to join our Animal Management department as we continue to grow globally and produce and lead innovative animal management systems. This is a new role and rare opportunity for a dynamic, passionate and strategically minded leader to join as a key member of the Animal Management Leadership team.

As the Head you will lead and own the Animal Management Land & Water Care value stream with the primary focus of developing Gallagher into an industry leader in this segment. This position extends beyond leading a value stream - it’s about creating and executing a solid strategy for providing products and services that allow our customers to be better managers of their precious land water assets for more productive farm operations.

Other responsibilities, but not limited to:

- Develop and maintain a long-term strategy for the category that is inspiring, aspirational, customer driven, innovative and achievable.
- Determine and implement innovative ways of creating more customer value through solutions delivery, business models and go-to-market strategies.
- Through collaboration with regional business development managers and product managers, identify product gaps in the value stream and fill those gaps through product development or partnerships.
- Lead key stakeholders through project prioritization and roadmap setting for the Land and Water Care value stream.
- Work closely with the value stream marketing team to develop strong market messaging for existing and new products.

**To be successful in this role you need**

Put simply - The successful applicant will be a natural, pragmatic and inspirational leader, with the ability to influence others at a high level. You will have a passion for innovation with a want for creating more customer value. Your commercial acumen, entrepreneurial streak and your strategic planning ability will allow you to prepare an advanced development model for our innovative products to go to market.
- 10+ years’ experience in people leadership, product portfolio management or related field
- Proven experience working within an international organisation, ideally having lived and worked outside of New Zealand
- Track record leading multi-disciplined teams
- Experience within a relevant technology industry - ideally a mix of hardware/software
- Experience owning the end-to-end delivery of customer value.
- Ability to grow and lead others around you.
- Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to tell stories which help to persuade and influence others.
- A highly motivated, achievement-oriented, and innovative approach
