**The Ministry of Health Violence Intervention Programme**:
Family Violence is common, with its effects evidenced to significantly impact on health and well-being across a person's lifetime. The Ministry of Health's Violence Intervention Programme supports health based family violence programmes throughout New Zealand focussed on early intervention, for long term prevention of harm. Programmes such as 'Power to Protect' are just one example of these early preventative and health based interventions, focussed on working in partnership with people to support development of safe nurturing relationships to strengthen whanau and achieve wellbeing
**The role**:
Are you looking to make a difference to improve the wellbeing of Hapū mamas and Tamariki? Then, we have an exciting opportunity for you to have the best of both worlds, with the ability to work office hours, in a client contact role. The Maternal and Child Wellbeing Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating a client centred platform focussed on strengthening whanau through risk based assessment to improve wellbeing and reduce risk of future harm.
Based within the Kaitiaki o Nga whanau team, the role is supported by the expertise of wider speciality services including; Paediatric, Obstetric and Social work services to assist you in your partnership with the client to provide an integrated health system response to achieve wellbeing.
**About you**:
**Please note**: To be eligible to work at Lakes DHB you must be fully vaccinated.
**Salary range**: $80 - 95K pro rated to hours worked
