**About the role**
As a Sawdoctor you will sit within the Lumber team at Pan Pac, based at out Whirinaki mill site, 15 minutes north of Napier. Your role is critical to the team, and you will ensure that all saws and knives are sharpened, repaired, and finished to a high quality to guarantee reliability and availability of saws in our sawmill. Through these duties you will be ensuring optimum machine performance and high-quality finished product. You will also participate in performing preventative maintenance tasks to minimise saw failures and unplanned saw changes. Along with your daily duties there is the opportunity for you to work on continuous improvement opportunities to maximise saw utilisation. Not only will you work in a team of like-minded Sawdoctor professionals but also alongside mechanical and electrical trades to problem solve machine centre sawing issues.
This is a shift position, working 4 x 10.5 hour shifts per week, days and nights (including some Saturdays) over a 3 week rotating roster.

**About you**
You have a NZQA Level 4 Trade Certificate in Sawdoctoring or equivalent experience.
