**ConsultANZ** is seeking a Mechanical Business Unit Manager with a strong mechanical engineering background and demonstrated leadership skills. This role involves formulating growth strategies, leading teams of engineers and technicians, and ensuring the successful execution of a wide range of water treatment projects and other infrastructure projects around New Zealand.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and execute strategic plans for business growth, revenue, and profitability.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff for innovation.
- Manage project execution, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Efficiently allocate resources for optimal project and departmental performance.
- Foster strong client relationships to deliver exceptional mechanical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability.
- Identify and mitigate project and operational risks.
- Stay updated on industry trends for growth opportunities.
- Prepare concise reports for senior management on departmental performance and initiatives.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Previous experience with waste water projects, water treatment and other civil works are required.
- Requires flexibility and willingness to travel.
- Demonstrated success in managing mechanical projects and teams.
- Strong grasp of mechanical engineering principles, best practices, and industry standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker skilled in data-driven decision-making.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong business acumen and financial management expertise.
