**The Role**
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Team Lead, as a BI Analyst/Developer, you'll join a collaborative team responsible for creating and enhancing the central repository of information (data, reports, and visualizations) utilized by the business for decision-making.
- While the team is in the process of transitioning to a modern data platform, incorporating tools such as Snowflake, Coalesce, Azure Dev Ops, and Logic Apps, it's important to note that this won't be the primary focus of your role during this 6-month contract. However, there is an opportunity for exposure to these modern data platform technologies as the project progresses.
- You will also:
- Liaise with a range of information users, enabling them to access the information they require in a format that works for them, whether standardised reports, dashboards, or data repositories that allow them to do their own analysis and report writing
- Gather and analyse user requirements, data modelling while following team documentation and development standards
- Analyse, refine, and align systems and processes with our strategic visions
- Ensure changes meet expected security and privacy levels

**About you**
You’ll have proven experience as a BI Analyst/Developer along with a degree in Information Systems or similar.

You are someone who enjoys analysing, solving problems, working with data and you appreciate and get satisfaction from well written, high-quality software that delivers value to our business operations. Furthermore, you will demonstrate the following:

- Proven ability to demonstrate your sound working knowledge of MS SQL, Wherescape Red, SSRS, Power BI, Excel and data modelling.
- Excellent communication skills ( written and verbal ) and in particular effective listening
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently, paying attention to consequences of any changes introduced
- Creative and collaborative problem solver
- Willingness to be flexible when required
- Understand and work within the rules of the Privacy Act
