**Manager Metro Service Operations**

Auckland Transport specifies and contracts public transport services that deliver over 13,500 bus and ferry trips on a business day. This role is responsible and accountable for ensuring that the bus and ferry public transport services delivered meet or exceed the contracted deliverables. The role is also responsible and accountable for on demand and total mobility services.

As a city that is continuously growing our public transport offering, the drive for service excellence and making positive difference to accessibility within our communities is a fundamental focus - this role has an important role to play in aiding this.

**Key Responsibilities**:
While this post's key deliverables are on business growth and development across key performance indicators (KPIs) including bus, ferry, on-demand and total mobility patronage (customers), health and safety, service quality and on-time performance, there is a broader focus on building partnerships with our operators and motivating a team with constructive, future-focused leadership.

**What are we looking for?**
- Minimum 7 years' experience in team and staff management in a political or complex organisation
- Contracted supplier relationship development and management within a partnering ethos
- Senior management accountability for a significant budget Preferred transport, logistics or equivalent customer services related experience
- Preferred transport, logistics or equivalent customer services focused service industry.
- A tertiary degree qualification is required in management, engineering, commerce, business or related discipline.
