We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We are looking for qualified registered Medical Laboratory Technicians, Medical Laboratory Scientists and students working towards registration to join our Histology team at Anatomic Pathology Services, Carbine Rd, Auckland or LabPlus, Auckland City Hospital.

These casual roles are based primarily in the Histopathology team at both sites and will be on different shifts including weekends and evenings. The roles cover all aspects of routine Histology laboratory work, including specimen receipt and registration, assisting in cut up, assisting in the main laboratory, frozen sections, embedding, microtomy, special stains.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

These roles require good communication skills and a knowledge of analytical processes. Previous histology experience is preferred but not essential as comprehensive training will be given to the right person. You must have a strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and a can do attitude to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
