We currently have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced professional within the Banking & Financial Services industry, who is passionate about ESG and Agribusiness.

We spoke with our Head of Sustainable Finance, who let us know the following about the role:
**What is the team culture and environment like?**

You will be joining an open and collaborative team, always striving for excellence but like to enjoy themselves along the way We have a shared vision for BNZ's Sustainable Finance business and clear priorities to realise that ambition. We've got each other's back and step forward to help when it's needed.

It is a fast-paced environment, so if you enjoy being busy and working autonomously then you will thrive in this team

There will be a wide range of projects that you will be able to get involved in to help shape the future of Banking & Agribusiness, a few key areas of focus are:

- Continuing to evolve our Sustainable Finance product offering so it remains market leading and fit for purpose
- Maturing the approach to ESG risk management in Agribusiness, ensuring our bankers are well equipped to manage evolving risks and opportunities
- Supporting the brand positioning of BNZ Agribusiness by contributing to thought leadership environmental management, the future of Agribusiness and Sustainable Finance in the Agri sector

**What is your management style?**

I like to allow team members the opportunity to step forward and take the lead on projects/initiatives themselves. I'm open and communicative, providing guidance, a sounding board, and other support as needed. I believe teams flourish when all voices are given an opportunity to be heard and all ideas can be debated so the best ones prevail.

**What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?**

**What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?**

In this role you will be shaping sustainable finance offerings and ESG risk management practices in the Agribusiness segment. Therefore, you will need to be able to think adaptively in order to design new ways of working and solve complex challenges.

**What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?**

We are looking for an adaptive thinker, who can navigate through uncertainty and create something new. You will be an effective communicator, with an ability to break down complexity to solve problems and a strong bias to action.

Ideally you will have a passion for ESG, Sustainable Finance and/or Agribusiness, and strong risk management experience.
