The Waiting Staff are responsible for ensuring the smooth
set up and running of the restaurant and are required to
provide pleasant, enthusiastic and efficient service to all
customers.
The Waiting Staff are expected to be a positive, willing,
contributing and adaptable member of the team at all times.
- Ensure you are aware of your obligations pursuant

to the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 and the company’s
liquor licence is not jeopardised - this includes
patron conduct, minors and intoxication.
- Provide exemplary customer service skills and

product knowledge when serving in the restaurant
or the bar.
- Ensure you are familiar with the menus, wine list,

and beverages to ensure you can assist all
customers with any questions they may have.
- Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all

customers.
- Ensure all customer queries and complaints are

dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner and
that your managers are made aware of any of the
above issues.
- Set all tables in accordance with agreed standards,

ensuring all items are clean and undamaged.
- Ensure all orders are taken correctly from

customers and entered into the Quest system in the
agreed sequence for the kitchen.
- Ensure all food and beverages are served to

customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure tables are cleared quickly and efficiently and

all plates and utensils are returned to the dishwash
area.
- Always check back with customers to ensure they

have everything they need during their meal.
- Ensure the restaurant area and service area are

kept clean and tidy at all times and in accordance to
the specified standards.
