There is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Storeroom/Inwards Goods team at New World Carterton You will play a key role in the smooth running of the storeroom and providing support to the team, our suppliers, and customers. This role works in a fast-paced environment, and you will need to be physically fit to keep up with the demands as well as a positive and 'can do' attitude. Therefore, previous working experience in a warehousing environment will help you hit the ground running in a short time.

**Hours and day for the Storeroom Assistant are**:
Monday to Thursday

2.30pm to 9pm (24 hours per week)

**Key responsibilities**:

- Unloading trucks and delivery vans.
- Scanning off all products that come through the back door ensuring the quantities received match the packing slips / invoices.
- Placing stock appropriately in the correct locations ensuring appropriate stock rotation.
- Keeping the storeroom clean and tidy.
- Separating pallets of stock onto flat decks to be worked into the store.
- Working stock on the shop floor.
- Maintaining store presentation standards.
- Follow all Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures and guidelines.

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Experience or familiarity with storeroom and logistics
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience operating a forklift, or a willingness to learn how to operate a forklift.
- To be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- To be physically fit to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- Ability to adapt to change.
