Test Engineer

Our products don't just serve ads or stream movies - they underpin our economy and touch people's lives. **Your new role** The Transactional Banking platform is the heart of the bank providing all the cool online / real-time transactional services that power ASB. As a Test Engineer, you will be supporting the Treasury & Trading squad - this squad owns numerous services including Calypso, our platform to support both Global Markets and Treasury Trading activities. You'll be part of a team at the forefront of working to deliver and support a secure, functional and performant ecosystem to our financial market's customers. We advocate for T-Shaped teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. **What you'll need to succeed** We are looking for an individual that will take ownership of our quality, drive continuous change for the squad and customers to ensure we are delivering best possible outcomes. You will work collaboratively with our squads and stakeholders to be the voice of Testing and deliver products that delight our customers. We are looking for someone who has: - 3+ years of test engineering experience - Financial/Banking/Insurance domain experience - Proven knowledge across functional, system, integration, and end to end testing - Produce/contribute/maintain test artefacts including cross system E2E scenarios - API testing experience using Postman or similar tool - Working knowledge of performance testing - Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases - Good understanding and experience of working using Agile principles In addition, any of the following would be an advantage: - Develop test automation solutions for GUI, Data and APIs - Complex enterprise systems experience - Experience with Treasury system (Calypso, Murex etc.) and the CATT test automation tool. - Web and API Test automation experience with C# - Certified in ISTQB Fundamentals **What you'll get in return** ASB's sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
