Waterways Labourers

**Job description**:
**What's the job?**

Citycare Water are looking for reliable and motivated Waterways Labourers to join our Christchurch team These are permanent roles offering full-time work and over-time hours.

As a Waterways Labourer you will be responsible for performing a variety of manual labouring tasks related to the maintenance and operation of the stormwater basins, waterways and rivers. If you enjoy working outdoors, we would love to hear from you

You will be operating weed eaters and garden tools, raking of oxidised weeds, both on the banks and whilst in the river, so will need to be agile and fit for this role.

**Within this role you will**:

- Be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions including rain, snow and extreme temperatures.
- Manual handling tasks associated to the maintenance of waterways and stormwater assets.
- General Labouring - Digging, lifting and carrying heavy objects
- Grass cutting with a weed eater
- Removal of objects, vegetation and debris

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Work collaboratively with other members of the team to complete tasks
- Accurately complete timesheets daily
- Promptly report any hazards, incidents or near mises
- Hold a Full Drivers License or be working towards this, we will help you to obtain this
- Attend training as required to maintain or enhance job skills
