Design and Commissioning has an exciting opportunity for two experienced Principal Advisors to help shape what we do, and how we do it, by leading the development and delivery of service design and improvement projects.

You will be highly customer-centric, collaborative and consultative. Your stakeholder management and communication skills will need to be exemplary as you will be expected to coach others in the team to develop their skills.

Being a fast-paced and outcome-focused team, you will need to bring a high level of self-motivation and initiative to set and achieve goals, for both yourself and for the team, while being comfortable working under pressure at times.

Principal Advisors are responsible for coaching more junior staff and supporting peers, as well as demonstrating strong critical thinking skills and a pragmatic delivery of work.

These roles will appeal to experienced operators who enjoy thinking, leading, mentoring others and delivering work to an exceptional standard.

To be considered for this position you will demonstrate your experience in some of the following:

- Establishing a vision for customer-centred services and developing a roadmap to achieve it.
- Assessing services that should be delivered or purchased from third party providers.
- Leading multi-disciplinary work programmes to identify and implement solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Ao Māori and tikanga Māori
- Experience in working with Judiciary, community groups and iwi.

The Design and Commissioning team in Commissioning and Service Improvement provides high quality service design and improvements to justice services.

We design, build and implement change driven by judicial and operational need, with a focus on designing services that work for the people delivering and using them.

We do this by being:

- Collaborative - we empower and support initiatives to be locally led by working closely with justice sector agency partners and listening to the community.
- User-focussed - we design fit-for-purpose solutions that best support people working in the work and those who use the court.
- Evidence-based - we use data and insights to help us understand problems and design solutions accordingly.

We have a diverse and varied work programme, covering all aspects of the justice system.

**Utu ā-tau/Salary**
