Mō te tūnga | The role
The Data Wrangler is a permanent role, with the ability to be based in the Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch regions. Reporting to the Manager, Statistical Change and Assurance, your main focus is the shaping, storing and managing of data to support the workstreams that you will be assigned. You will build strong relationships with a variety of internal teams who contribute to the design and publishing of our data products and services. You will also build relationships with external stakeholders, mostly from other government agencies.

- Strong knowledge visualising analytics and insights using data analysis tools (Preferable R, R-shiny) (Nice to haves
- PowerBI, Looker Studio, and Python)
- Knowledge of version control systems (eg. Gitlab)
- Confident user of Google Analytics to understand the customer journey and customer experience of Stats data products and services
- Strong understanding of modern web development tools and approaches
- Team player and effective collaborator and strong willingness to learn on the job
