**ABOUT THE ROLE**
An exciting opportunity for Labourers to support our Water and Wastewater projects in Kaikohe. This role will require you to provide skilled manual service in respect to new construction, asset renewal and maintenance works in the water and wastewater utilities environment.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**
**Construction Activities**:

- Operation of plant such as excavators, compaction equipment and loaders;
- Installation of new water and wastewater equipment
- Completion of other associated construction related tasks as part of a team including excavation, trenching, drain-laying, minor concrete works, basic carpentry, mechanical and/or electrical fitting, etc.

**Traffic Management**:

- site set-outs and Stop / Go control; Ensuring that all traffic management equipment (e.g. signs, cones) is removed at completion of each task and is properly stored and maintained; Installation, maintenance and removal of traffic management to the agreed traffic management plan for projects as required.

**Additional Tasks**:

- Participating in 24/7 emergency call-out roster; Carrying out any other duties that can reasonably be requested from time to time within the framework of this position, and the skills, training and experience of the incumbent

**ABOUT YOU**
- Two to three years of proven work experience in general labouring, farming, civil construction and/or water and wastewater maintenance is preferred
- Experience with a wide range of construction plant is preferred.
- Physically fit, as the job requires digging and heavy lifting; prolonged periods of walking, standing, and bending.
- Minimum requirements Full class 1 driver’s license with other Level 2 and endorsements (W, T, R,) preferred.
