We are seeking a reliable and motivated **Building Associate** to join our growing construction team. In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with supervisors, tradespeople, and project managers to support the delivery of high-quality building projects. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Project Coordination: Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
- Supervising Workers: Manage and direct construction workers and subcontractors; ensure they understand their tasks and responsibilities.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations; ensure all workers follow safety protocols and use protective gear.
- Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Scheduling: Create and maintain work schedules; coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or delays that arise and make on-site decisions as needed.
- Reporting: Maintain site logs and documentation; report progress to project managers or engineers.
- Material Management: Monitor inventory of materials and order supplies as necessary.
- Budget Monitoring: Help control project costs by managing resources efficiently.
- Client and Inspector Liaison: Communicate with clients, architects, and inspectors to ensure smooth progress and adherence to regulations.

**Location**:Auckland, New Zealand

**Hours**:Minimum 30 hours/week

**Pay Rate**:$32- $40 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

**Other important requirements**:

- Relevant work experience of two years or Relevant tertiary qualifications equivalent to level 6 or above in (construction, civil, physics, or mathematics)
- Available to work on weekends and extended hours - if required
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Self-motivated and a passionate individual

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
