We're looking for a talented senior internal communications professional to join our high energy team

**About us**:
You'll join an experienced and highly-qualified communication team supporting the GCSB and NZSIS in their work to protect New Zealand's national security.

**About the role**:
In this senior role you'll work across both agencies providing specialist internal communications and staff engagement advice. You'll work alongside senior leaders in particular and lead pieces of work with a focus on internal communications and staff engagement. This means you'll have top-notch relationship management skills and understand the value of relevant, timely and thoughtful internal communications.
We're looking for experience, energy and innovation from someone who can own and manage a variety of communications channels and content, including intranet, web and video.
This is a hands-on role where planning and time management skills will be valuable as day-to-day tasks are balanced with strategic longer-term support for internal projects.
We are a small team and support each other by being willing and able to pitch in and turn our hand to any task that helps the GCSB and NZSIS deliver effective communications.

**About you**:
**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Relevant senior advisor level communication experience, ideally with a focus on internal communications
- A track record of successful delivery/implementation of communications strategies and plans.
- Experience developing, editing, publishing and managing content across a range of communications channels. Video skills would be a plus.
- Demonstrated relationship management skills and the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
- Experience developing and implementing communications strategies and plans, again ideally with a focus on internal communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an understanding of what good internal communications is
- A commitment to accuracy, plain English and accessibility.
