Factory Assistant

**The Role**

This role involves following recipes to produce bulk batches of various sweets. Key responsibilities include:

- Following recipes and weighing ingredients.
- Using machinery to mix and prepare products.
- Manually rolling nougat.
- Lifting baskets weighing up to and above 15kgs.
- Occasional packing completed product into cartons.

**Days & Hours**

3.15pm - 11.45pm.

Monday to Friday

Please note the first few shifts will be on the morning shift while training is completed.

**Required Attributes**
- Experienced and comfortable with repetitive work is essential
- Experience in manufacturing is advantageous
- Comfortable lifting heavy products (up to 25kgs)
- An interest in learning more about the food manufacturing business

For the past 40 years, our locally-owned client has been producing confectionary in the Palmerston North region. The Father & Son team have now grown the business into the modern production era, becoming a nationwide distributor for their famous products.
