**About the Role**
The Nephrology Department at Christchurch Hospital is looking for a Nurse Coordinator - Renal Transplant to join its multidisciplinary Renal Transplant team.
Your role will be to manage a case load of patients and provide accurate clinical information to physicians and surgeons, while ensuring potential living donors receive a comprehensive, coordinated and accessible service. You will coordinate pre-transplant assessments for potential recipients and pre-donation assessments for living donors.
This is a challenging and demanding role where you will work closely with members of the health care team including transplant co-ordinators from around New Zealand.
**About you**
Our ideal applicant will be self-directed with excellent time management and organisation skills, be computer literate, and be able to function collaboratively and autonomously.
To be successful in this role it is essential you have the following:
- Experience in Renal Nursing or Transplant Coordination
- You - ll be an expert nurse and either hold, or be working towards, a relevant post graduate qualification and equivalent PDRP.
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience.
- Commitment to research-based practice and on-going relevant professional development.
- A positive role model in clinical leadership you will work collaboratively across the service with the whole team to ensure high standards of service delivery are maintained and quality patient outcomes are achieved.
- Your broad knowledge and extensive recent experience will place you perfectly as a specialist resource for the team.
- Motivated, organised, exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide range of people, is paramount in this role.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
