**About the role**

As the Group Manager - Assets & Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Wairoa District. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of our infrastructure services, ensuring they align with the community's aspirations and Council's vision.

Your responsibilities will include developing long-term plans that prioritise sustainability, managing budgets with financial integrity, and fostering innovation in service delivery. Leading a high-performing team, you'll inspire excellence and collaboration while engaging with diverse stakeholders, including elected members, community groups, and tangata whenua.

**Who You Are**:
You bring at least 5 years of leadership experience across diverse services such as infrastructure, utilities, and land transport, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale projects. With a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, you're passionate about innovation, strategic thinking, and working collaboratively to drive meaningful change.
