Nursery Worker

3 Month Fixed Term Role
- No Fridays or Weekend Working
- Based at Auckland Botanical Gardens

Auckland Council’s Parks, Sport and Recreation department has an opportunity for 2 Nursery Workers within the Horticulture Team based at Auckland Botanical Gardens.

This is an excellent opportunity to further your career by being part of the Botanic Gardens team. If you enjoy the outdoors and thrive in a stimulating, hands-on environment, and are looking for a role that supports your passion for plants and learning, this could be it.

Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

- Plant care - maintaining a wide range of plants
- Pruning, watering and potting plants
- Irrigation, spraying and weeding

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

If you are currently studying or have studied in the field of horticulture or related qualification or have an interest in plants, nature and the outdoors, then we want to hear from you

We will be looking for people who:

- Can understand plant care to meet high horticultural standards
- Are comfortable working in a physical role

Experience in horticulture is preferred, as is experience in maintaining a diverse range of containerised plants.
