Pinehurst, a Year 1-13 private school in Auckland of 1100 students, is looking for a Facilities Assistant, part-time or full-time negotiable.

The Facilities Assistant is a key support role in our Property and Facilities team. The role is one that requires an exceptionally warm, inclusive manner in keeping with the philosophy and ethos of the school. Our school is a busy one, and the Property and Facilities department is a core part of our support team.

Working hours 8:30am - 5pm Mon - Fri (40 hours per week) for full-time. Part-time between 20 - 30 hours per week. Term time only or full calendar year applicants will be considered.

Job specification:

- Responsible for undertaking facilities tasks around the site:
- Replenishing consumables, managing waste & recycling, and ensuring all facilities are in good condition throughout the day
- Setting up events and sports equipment during and after school hours
- Opening/closing tasks and patrol duties
- Porterage duties
- Assist with grounds & general maintenance tasks as necessary
- Contribute to other shared departmental duties, H&S checks, environmental monitoring etc
- Act as a liaison point for on-site events and classes during and after school hours
- Provide cover to other departmental roles as necessary so that the team can deliver a seamless service

- Strong interpersonal skills with an excellent ability to communicate to a diverse range of cultures and personalities and possess strong relationship building skills
- Strong organisational skills, quick responsiveness, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
