We are recruiting for multiple Crane Operators across our Auckland sites We are keen to hear from safety conscious Operators who share our safety vision of “ I Think Safe, We Work Safe, We All Go Home Safe”. Reporting to the Supervisor you will be responsible for operating cranes to safely lift, move, position, and re-position loads working across the Central Interceptor Project sites.

**What you will be doing**:

- Operation of Mobile, Crawler and Rough Terrain Cranes
- Lift, position and place plant equipment
- Operate cranes according to signals
- Assist with routine inspections of the cranes to ensure they are safe for use
- Check the cranes are set up correctly and securely
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment for operators on site
- Minimise and reporting any unsafe activities
- Work closely with the Rigger/Dogman to formulate the lift plan
- NZ Unit standards 3801, 3795, 27676 and 3789 preferred
- 2-4 years crawler and mobile crane operating experience
- Experience working on civil infrastructure projects
- Positive and pro-active approach toward teamwork
- Good communication and decision-making skills
- Excellent safety awareness
- Ability to work under pressure, determine priorities and follow instructions
- NZ Construct Safe ideal but not essential, we will provide training

- Hourly rate between $38.00 to $46.00 per hour

Minimum 40 hours a week between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Saturday until such time as required to work on a rostered shift pattern, in line with the programme demands of the project.

All successful applicants will be required to undertake a Ministry of Justice and pre-employment drug and medical checks.
