We're looking for a Ratoka Kiritaki - Customer Service Guide to join our whānau in Rotorua. If you're passionate about people, storytelling, and protecting our native species, this is your opportunity to make a real impact. **Te Mahi - What you'll do** - Welcome manuhiri with manaaki and warmth, upholding the values of Ngāi Tahu - Deliver engaging, educational, and culturally rich guided experiences - Support daily operations including admissions, bookings, retail, and customer care - Maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness across customer areas - Promote sustainability and the Tiaki Promise in every interaction - Participate in cultural development including karakia, mihi, and te reo Māori use **Kā Pūkeka - Experience** - 12+ months in a fast-paced tourism or customer-facing role - Confident using IT systems including booking platforms, spreadsheets, and databases - Confident in driving larger vehicle (preferred) **Kā Tohu Mātauraka - Qualifications** - NCEA Level 3 or equivalent - Full, clean driver's licence (held for at least 2 years) - P Endorsement (desirable) - Tourism qualification (desirable) - Proficiency in spoken and written English **Ō Pūmanawa - Attributes & Competencies** - Strong customer focus and a natural communicator - Calm under pressure, with great multitasking and time management skills - A team player with a proactive, "can-do" attitude - Detail-oriented, resilient, and adaptable to change - Culturally aware and open to learning te reo Māori and Ngāi Tahu values - Committed to sustainability and the Tiaki Promise - Demonstrated openness to working in a bicultural environment - Familiarity with Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to our mahi **He aha ai? - Why join us?** At the National Kiwi Hatchery, you'll be part of a kaupapa that matters.
