Our Client is a reputable construction company specializing in drainage solutions for residential, commercial, and municipal projects. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Drain Layer to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects.

**Job Description**:
As a Drain Layer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of drainage systems, including stormwater drains, sewer lines, and associated infrastructure. Working under the supervision of a foreman or project manager, you will perform a variety of tasks related to drainage construction, ensuring that projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install and maintain stormwater drains, sewer lines, and other drainage infrastructure according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Excavate trenches and trenches for drainage pipes, ensuring proper depth, slope, and alignment.
- Lay and join pipes using various techniques, including solvent welding, compression fittings, and heat fusion.
- Construct manholes, catch basins, and other drainage structures, including backfilling and compacting soil as needed.
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of construction equipment and tools, including excavators, compactors, and pipe cutters.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the integrity and functionality of drainage systems, identifying and addressing any issues or deficiencies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the proper handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in drainage construction or a related field.
- A drainage qualification would be advantages but not essential.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and blueprints.
- Strong technical skills in pipe laying, trenching, and backfilling operations.
- Ability to operate construction equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices for drainage construction.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- WTR is essential.

Competitive salary based on experience between $28 and $32 per hour.
