A Courts Registry Officer is critical to the successful daily operation of the district court and makes a huge positive difference in the lives of whanau in our communities in the following exciting ways and not limited to:

- Facilitating the smooth delivery of court hearings through Court Taking, which includes announcing the judges entry into court (in English and Te Reo Māori), calling cases and general administration of the court.
- Ensure court participants matters progress in a timely manner through the court process by effective Case Management activities.
- Working hours from 8.00am-5.00pm, Monday - Friday

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role in this role you will have experience in customer service, both in front line and written capacities. With these strong interpersonal skills, you will be able to confidently address large groups of people, as well as act with tact and discretion. The ability to speak a second language may also be of advantage.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Be highly organised
- Have strong standard of written and oral communication
- Have solid computer skills
- Have an understanding and appreciation of cultural issues and concerns in particular Tikanga Maori
