**The Role**

As the Software Engineering Manager for Seequent’s Cloud solutions, such as Central, Evo, and Imago, it is your job to ensure the software development process is run efficiently, producing software products that are of high quality, performant and reliable, on time and fit for market. You’ll be a motivator and a leader to software teams, overseeing the development process and its outcomes. As the team grows you will have a key role in building teams and ensuring that our engineering culture is maintained and enhanced.

Please note, this role is a hybrid position to be based out of our Christchurch office.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Motivate and lead a team of Software Engineers and Software Testers.
- Contribute strategic technical leadership in decisions affecting Central, Evo and Imago.
- Coordinate the architectural direction of our products.
- Develop services that attain visibility, reliability, resilience, security and sustainability.
- Work closely with other Engineering Leaders to ensure alignment, identify project dependencies and establish long-term goals.
- Lead and promote best practice in agile methodologies.
- Establish and maintain technical and functional relationships with collaborating companies/organisation.

**This role could be a good fit for you if you have**:

- 10+ years’ experience as a Senior Software Developer or Team Leader for delivering and supporting commercial cloud first solutions.
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm to operate as a coach and mentor.
- Experience leading a team in an agile environment.
- A natural ability to motivate a team and be a champion of the business.
- A drive to solve problems and find solutions.
