Join our supportive, passionate team as an Academic Staff Member (ASM) or Senior Academic Staff Member (SASM) to deliver our bicultural Bachelor of Nursing programme. We have a position based in Tauranga and a position based in Rotorua. Both positions may have the requirement to travel. This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - no more shift work

You will contribute to developing high quality nurses through teaching in the classroom and online; researching; creating, reviewing, and updating resources and teaching materials; assessing students’ work and practice; assisting with the recruitment and care of students; and actively participating in the team and institution environment. You will also join students in the clinical environment as an educator to link theory to practice and assess students.

Key to your success in this role will be your demonstrated ability to:

- Develop and deliver effective partnerships with key stakeholders
- Develop and deliver bicultural, contextual and responsive tertiary education
- Use a learner-centred approach to facilitate the learning of diverse students

You will have:

- A Masters qualification in a related field (or working towards it)
- A current NCNZ Annual Practising Certificate
- A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Background in Primary and Community Health is a preference

Importantly you will be able to demonstrate strong alignment and commitment to our Toi Ohomai Values. Skills and/or qualifications in te reo Māori and adult teaching would also be highly advantageous.
