**We’re on the hunt for a skilled and passionate Butcher to join our team at New World Havelock North**

Our **brand-new flagship supermarket** features one of the **largest butchery serve-overs in New Zealand**, an **impressive dry-aged meat offering**, and a dedicated, passionate team that’s raising the bar for butchery retail. As a key part of our fresh foods department, you'll bring top-quality cuts to our customers and deliver great service every day.

**Hours are**:
Monday:12pm-9pm

Tuesday:12pm-9pm

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday:12pm-9pm

Friday:12pm-9pm

Saturday: OFF

Sunday:12pm-9pm

**Key responsibilities**:

- Preparing and presenting fresh meat products to a high standard
- Providing outstanding customer service at the serve-over
- Working collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment

***What we’re looking for**:

- Butchery experience (trade certified or experienced non-trade welcome)
- Excellent knife skills and product knowledge
- Can juggle priorities, lead by example, and adapt in a fast-paced setting
- Thinks ahead, solves problems, and looks for better ways to do things
- Communicates clearly, builds great team culture, and values customer connection
- Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards

This is a fulltime role, competitive pay rate between $30-$32 per hour dependent on skills and relevant experience.
