Merchandise Planner

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a **Merchandise Planner & Analyst**

With product ranging from wheelbarrows to thumb tacks, to paint, and green goods to power tools, we need to plan for a broad range of products and SKUs to ensure the store offering within our MEGA, Mitre 10 and Hammer Hardware stores is the best it can be. And it is merchandise planning that plays a pivotal role in creating and maintaining profitability. No other area within a retail business has such a direct impact on bottom line profit (or loss).

**Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, this role will see you take responsibilities for**:

- Providing analytical support, insights and recommendations.
- Preparing, co-ordinating and facilitating regular and on-going financial planning review cycles.
- Supporting the merchandise source to shelf by providing analytics, insights and reports
- Working closely with Category Managers, Merchandise Managers and cross-functionally to provide support and information as required.

We are looking for someone who has proven experience, ideally within a retail environment, who can bring a broad understanding of best practice in order to optimise the financial return on the categories.

**You will also need**:

- Expertise in extracting, consolidating and manipulating data - strong numerical aptitude and advanced computer skills, especially MS Excel, and Power BI useful.
- Proven time management and prioritising ability.
- Good communication and relationship skills; and
- An eye for detail and accuracy.
