Roof Tiler

**This role is for New Zealand citizen or resident only, no visa supporting.**

**About us**

**This role will include, but not limited to**:

- Measure roof areas and calculate the number of tiles and materials needed
- Lay, cut, and shape roofing tiles to fit roof design
- Install underlayment, battens, and waterproof membranes
- Replace broken or missing tiles
- Work with clay, slate, concrete, or stone tiles depending on the job
- Ensure work is weatherproof, secure, and up to safety standards
- Operate power tools, tile cutters, and other roofing equipment safely
- Follow technical drawings and plans when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with team members and other tradespeople

- Location: Auckland
- Job type: Full-time Permanent
- Number of positions for this job: 3
- Pay rate: $23.50 per hour
- Days required: 5-6 days/week
- Hours per week: at least 30, maximum 55 hours/week

**Work Environment**:

- Outdoor construction sites
- High, sloped, or uneven surfaces
- Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions
- Use of scaffolding, harnesses, and ladders required

**The successful applicant must have the following**:

- A Level 4 relevant qualification AND at least five years’ relevant experience as a Roof Tiler or in a similar role
- Comfortable working at heights and on sloped surfaces
- Strong understanding of tiling materials and installation techniques
- Physical strength and stamina to handle lifting and labor-intensive tasks
- Good attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
